Not being too close to a military base leaves me a bit deficient in the motivational tattoo (moto tattoos) design arena. This weekend I was given a chance to start on a moto tattoo with a family twist. The flag, dates and name are all going to end up as a layer below a ripped away section of the skin. There is still quite a bit of work to do on the torn pieces, but you can definitely start seeing what the whole piece will look like when completed.
During this session I really learned quite a bit about military traditions and customs. Having never been around Active Duty that much I found it quite fascinating and really look forward to future moto tattoos that I may be honored enough to ink. Seeing as how proud military members are of their moto tattoos, being chosen to put a piece together for someone was truly and honor.
