A client came in and wanted an add on piece to the butterfly she already had on her shoulder. We worked out a design and came up with an incredible arrangement of hibiscus around the original butterfly. The piece now covers most of her shoulder blade and really adds a lot of depth. Although this is just the first session you can already see the way the hibiscus petals, although bigger and more expansive, will really make the butterfly the focal point as well as bring out its colors.
These type pieces are a lot of fun and allow me to use multiple techniques in applying the color. I am not sure who is more excited at this point, me or the client.
